Been a mixed day betting was full of up and downs and even though its 1.25 in the morning l am still going strong.
Just layed Phil Mickelson in the WGC @ 2.00 even though he holds a two shot lead going into the last round. Hoping someone can come out of the pack and catch him.
I am currently watching football first and going over the Villa/Bolton game, its amazing what a few days can do, Wednesday defeat is quickly erased and now l am enjoying the highs of seeing villa put five past a poor Bolton side.
Just watched a great display by David Haye in winning one of the heavyweight titles, many people seem to think boxing is all about slugging it out, l had Haye winning by two rounds, his speed and nimble foot work were too much for the cumbersome giant. Some would argue that Valuev showed the more aggression which l would dispute, Valuev kept coming forward but hardly caught Haye while Haye actually landed more punches, and if it was close going into the last round haye certainly won that with the cleaner shots landing.
I also think people pay too much attention to these so called experts in my opinion Jim watt was very poor and has been for a long time, to give rounds to someone who has not even landed a shot was crazy.
Two totally different opinion when you compare Sky's coverage to radio 5 live who had Haye winning the fight by three rounds. I think people listen to the experts and play the markets, Haye was 3.56, l think someone said in-running which was amazing considering l had Haye winning the fight.
Also all the people going on about it being a poor fight can not have seen any of Valuev's previous fights, cannot think of one fight where it was remotely exciting. Valuev smothers his opponents and the worst thing they can do is try and trade punches close up with the man.
Haye has and done what Ruiz and Holyfield did hit and run. Both boxers were unlucky to lose to the giant. He executed his game plan perfectly
Once again a great performance.
All l need now is for Mickelson to choke or the Tiger to pounce to round off a good night.
Sunday Morning
Well having watched the golf till past six this morning l am feeling a little blurry eyed, but anyone who watched it will think that is why l love watching sport. What a great finish and after leaving a bet to be matched on betfair and going to watch it in bed. I never thought it would get matched as there only looked to be one winner with about five to play.
Then to see the great Phil Mickleson do an air shot and look to hand the title to Ernie Els, l was thinking l wish l had let the bet ride, with Ernie taking a one shot lead playing the par five last and from great position in the fairway hit his second shot into the water and end up with a bogey six to virtually hand the title back to Mickelson.
Mickelson himself then tried to blow it again but steadied himself to win the event. My bet had indeed been matched and had made a small profit on the event.
