Well it all seemed to be going so well, Saturday night l was literally sitting on the edge of the sofa watching Villa beat Man Utd at Old Trafford for the first time in twenty six years. Containing myself from swearing at the screen and yelling at the villa players to just boot the bloody thing up field.
Expecting with three minutes of injury time to play for Man Utd not only to score but go on and get a winner, when the final whistle came, it was one of disbelief that you have not only won but won at the home of the current Champions of the premiership.
That was as good as it got and since then it has been a downward spiral that l can only hope will end soon.
The next highlight of the week was the fecking end of X-factor yes the X factor a highlight that's how bad it has been because the trouble is l hate the show but still have to watch the damn thing, hearing people go overboard about someone having the bloody X factor. It's a contrived show that sucks the general public to not only watch and vote on this pile of poo but buy the bloody records as well. A few weeks ago while playing in a poker tournament one Sunday night a bloke actually rang his girlfriend up to tape the fecking show???
Tuesday See's Villa maintain there momentum and beat sunderland 2-0 away from home. Just hope it does not go the same way as last season and we fall apart but so far its great being a villa fan. We only need another eight points to be safe from relegation that should ease the worries of the pessimists
Poker has been terrible playing on betfair, l have run so bad that its starting to really annoy me. I usually just take the bad beats but its got so bad l have verbally abused people at the table, not in a bad way just kindly asking "what the feck do you think your beating"??? I usually just take a few days off but l have gone back each day which has done me no good as l am currently on a losing streak of five days running. The normally tight game that l employ has gone out of the window the last couple of days and l tried mixing it up a little all too no effect. While the loses have not been substantial they have certainly made a dent in my confidence and bankroll.
It was made even worse by the fact that l never got any rake back from betfair this week and after a couple of emails yesterday and another today they say they have no record of me playing but are looking into it?? I wait with baited breath on the next email l receive from them.
Thursday was the little one's school Christmas Carols and on the way to the school, we see an hearing aid on the path, the missus says to me "Is that your father's" to which l reply "no idea", on the way home from the carols its still there so we pop in to see him, l ask him has he lost an hearing aid, when he said pardon that was a pretty good clue, it seems one of his hearing aids had fallen out on the way back from the shops, bearing in mind these hearing aids are over five hundred pounds each, that is a lot of money to be left on the pavement. The daughter was quickly told to retrieve the item and luckily it still seems to be working.
Woke up this morning to a blanket of snow which the kids and the missus loves, the missus is always going on about hoping it snows and she loves the snow then when we get it moans that it's too dangerous to drive?? We get a phone call at midday to pick the young one up from school as its closing early. Now the fun begins as she is off school until after January.
So with the snow falling l am dragged out into the garden to make a snowman, fifteen minutes later and the snowman looking like a drunk dwarf, l decide its too bloody cold.
Don't really have anything planned for this weekend and l am in two minds if l should venture on the poker tables, confidence is shot and l just cannot see myself winning.
Roll on January.
