How l wish l had concentrated in class during my School years

Day 21 in the Ruddock house.

My school report was always predictable. Kelvin has the ability to do well but is easily distracted or Kelvin has trouble concentrating. Its a pity at the age of twelve onwards l could not have got a bet on at the bookies as to what my school report would read. If l could l would not be sitting here writing this now that is for sure.

The thing is you know you should make notes of what days have been good and what days have been bad, what time of day do l show as my most profitable and vice verse. Is one day showing up better than another. Things that will help you in the long run.

I always found playing late at night at the weekend to be pretty good, the drunks coming in from the pubs would sometimes be most profitable, now with the the late night drinking its hard to catch the drunks willing to throw their money away. You could fire up the pc at around 11.30 onwards and wait a bit like the local policeman who waits at the end of the road knowing its closing time and he will catch at least one driving his car home. now its much harder.

One thing l do know is that Saturday mornings are by far the worst, to say the standard of play is shit would be an understatement, at one point l had to check to see if l had not entered an all in or fold $2.50 eighteen seat tourney. With blinds at 20-40 people were just throwing the chips allin with any two sooooooted cards. One such hand had three people all in and the best hand was A 7??? I believe the 8h 9h took the pot with a straight but l could be wrong l was too busy shaking my head in disbelief.

It was as if the parents had gone upstairs to take it in turns looking at the ceiling while they left the children to play on their account in the meantime. I actually thought about letting my seven year old daughter play a tourney by herself and see what she could do, the only trouble being when l try to teach her the game she still thinks the chips are from Mccains.

After playing about eight or nine games of eighteen and twenty seaters, l really could not take anymore and for the sake of my sanity l had to close ladbrokes down. Hoping to give it a couple of hours and wishing the parents would have finished by then and once again taken control of their ladbrokes accounts.

The afternoon and evening sessions were much better, l just stayed to playing the same games and manged to cash a few times. You really need to cash one in four to break even and if you can win one it obviously boosts the balance. I ended the night getting back what l had lost from the morning and being up for the day..

It really was a case of a few hours rest making all the difference

Well Sunday so far has really been Super Sunday, the games have been somewhat more sensible and l have managed to win two games and cashed in two others.

My balance is £218.19
