The tiger the twitch and the eye patch.

Day Seventeen.

Now half way through the third week of the challenge, l have found myself cutting back on the number of games l have played, partly down to time restrictions and partly due to the mental state of my health and mind.

During the first week l would often find myself trawling at four in the morning for a $2.50 double up game did l have a problem? was l coming down with a strange form of low limit ten seat double up addiction? Now l know Tiger Woods has confessed to his addiction, was it time l faced up to mine.

Now l might not have been getting the same pleasure as him or indeed probably not lasting lasting longer but in the different ways we sought out and found our own source of pleasure and enjoyment, one thing it was doing was giving me a nasty tick, which l would assume is a lot better than having a five iron smashed over your head.

Towards the latter part of the week l noticed all of a sudden my left eye would twitch for no apparent reason, l would be sitting playing a game or watching television and my left eye would start doing the macarena. This lead to me staring in the mirror trying to see it happen but much like all comedy sketches nothing would, then once back in front of the pc or just reading a a paper, watching television it would start all over again.

Not knowing if this was due to the constant hours in front of the pc or the lack of sleep or maybe down to both, or something completely different like the fact l had not picked a winner in the sports department in weeks. Either way it was not helping me. The thought of a Gabrielle eye patch was now starting to cross my mind.

The magic cure of a couple of good nights sleep and a reduction of games being played l am once again back to my normal squint. The problem obviously was not anything to do with picking winners because l still can't.

Well enough of my health problems and back to the job in hand, Monday saw me crash quicker than a Richard Branson hot air balloon flight. My balance fell to £122, l would be the first to admit if it was down to bad play but that would be a lie, l was playing well. just never getting the luck or breaks you so often need.

When you are playing well but not getting the results you think it can only be a matter of time before you luck changes and you start to cash, sometimes it takes days weeks. The pessimists would say they never get any luck, well mine changed in hours, a couple of cashes in the eighteen and twenty seat games and l was back up to £148. It was time to call it a night and get some much needed sleep.

Tuesday was really a nothing day, my balance pretty much stayed the same all day but that was mainly due to being busy throughout the day and not playing a great deal. Cashes in the double up games and only a third in the twenty seat format meant l finished the day on £148.15.

To be continued.
