Under Starters Orders. Day One.

And they are off

horse racing ? Pictures, Images and Photos

Not quite sure what l can compare this to, l suppose it would be like running a Marathon every day from now till the end of the year, maybe that it unfair after all its not my money what do l have to lose?

Well in some ways it makes it more personal l now know l have the eyes of the forum on me and as a player who likes to slip under the radar it just puts that sense of added pressure on my hunched shoulders.

One thing l will promise is this journey will not be filled with bad beats, we all get them and l don't like reading them so l wont bother boring you with them, but in the first game l played you should have seen how unlucky was l!!!! Well never mind suffice to say l started off playing a couple of $2.50 MTT of which l found hard work and not getting anywhere, just on the outside of making the money.

I then switched to the STT, having a bit more success winning one and getting placed in three others.

To tell you the truth after a while l forgot how many games l had actually played, l may well ask at a later date.

Being honest l was not sure what to expect playing at the low levels, well if l am truthful l expect to do well but l must say l am surprised how high the standard is. I always say even muppets have money and just because the buy-in is low that should not detract from the player. In fact some of these guys play tighter than the first date l had all those years ago.

After looking at the time it was 9.36 l had been playing for over three hours and my balance was 98.45, Feck me this indeed is going to be a long slog.

It soon started to get worse, you know when you look down and have queens you try to get action you make little raises, it was working l was getting called by K 4 the only trouble was they proceeded to go on and hit two pair, that was not meant to be in the script.

With the balance now below £90 l decided on a change of strategy, on to $2.50 Double up tables having played two and doubling up in both of them this and a second in a 18 MTT l finished the night of with the proud sum of £97.21

The time is now just past two o'clock in the morning l have been playing all night and l am down £2.79...

It's been emotional.

That is all.
